Lee Oskar designed this harmonica to produce soulful, Eastern European sounds. 5 notes have been changed from standard major tuning making some Yiddish, Greek, Asian, Middle Eastern, gypsy and folk styles much easier to play.
All of the notes that are missing on the major diatonic are right there on the Melody Maker - it provides a complete major scale in cross harp for playing exact melody without bending.
