I don't need books or DVD's. I did buy one and thought it was a joke. The title said learn blues harmonica. I got "old Suzanna", and " Yellow Rose of Texal", and a host of non usable stuff. Frankly, I can hear a recording and copy it. I've even took my good guitar parts to copy. I play guitar, and I play in a band. I've always played in bands. I've been at it over 40yrs playing. It takes discipline to practice and not give up. When I was a kid, my Mom would run me outside because of all the repetition I was practicing. Now, my wife runs me off. I built a semi soundproof studio to keep the sanity. Heck, I'm 57 and can play guitar and slide on a pro level. I even play harmonica onstage and I'm not half as good as most on this forum. I always say "Keep it simple". You have 4 holes to work with. Keep practicing, one day someone will say, "that sounds pretty good". You'll think that you don't sound any different, but you are better.
