In this lesson I’ll break down how to play the classic song “My Babe” by Little Walter. Here we go…

About My Babe

-My Babe is a blues Standard written by Willie Dixon, based on the traditional gospel song “This Train (Is Bound For Glory)”.

-It was a number one R&B hit single for Walter in 1955.

– Little Walter’s virtuosity and innovation altered many listeners’ expectations of what was possible on the harmonica.

– He was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

– Here Walter is playing amplified harp on a Bb Harmonica in 2nd Position.

Very good harp lesson and skills Will Wilde. I cover My Babe myself. Up The Line is another great tune of Little Walters I love and cover that I think you should include in your video lessons assuming you teach chromatic harp skills.

    Thanks,
