Thank you for the ivitations for harmonica camp but alas I can’t participate.. Amazing grace is a great song with many versions- this triplet notes here at the end go a little bit out of tone, don’t they:)? sorry for that:)

This is fantastic! I really like the ability to slow down the song. metronome is a great feature, but wold be nice to hear it louder.

DEFINITELY would like to see other songs to learn on this.

Great learning tool, JP! Looking forward to seeing this format in the future. One question however; What do the underscores on the draw notes represent? Thanks for the info and tips.

Hey Tony, so happy to hear you enjoyed it….The underscores indicate holding a note or lengthening a note. jp

I too, was wondering what the underscores at the draw notes are.

Of course I just want to add here that the length of the notes is very important and also maybe some effect- hand vibrato and etc.

very cool. i noticed you started a few notes that aren’t listed as bends with a quick transition from the bent note to the non-bent note, too. this is a great tool, especially for those of us who, apparently, still aren’t playing 3J in tune. :)

Definitely helpful. I’m also a beginner and a little intimidated that my playing doesn’t sound “right” to my own ears. Playing along with here definitely helped. Thanks JP Allen for all you do!

Hey I think this is a great idea! It puts several different learning modalities together, hearing, seeing and playing! Plus it’s a good refresher for reading sheet music!

I would enjoy more like this!

My Dad could play any song on the Harmonica by ear. After trying for about 40 years and several “How to play the Harmonica” books, I realized I was not blessed with that ability. Oh Susanna was the extent of my Repertoire . That was until now! I can add Amazing grace to my collection. I am so enjoying your Happy Harpin’ lessons. I look foreword to practicing and learning everyday. I hope you continue to teach us using the Harmonica Tab Player.
    Blessings,
