Review Summary:

The Hering Free Blues is a mid-price harmonica that stands up well when compared to others in its price range, such as the Hohner Blues Bender. If is a diatonic harmonic that features 10 holes and 20 reeds. The airtight assembly gives it a good response and helps to keep its tone consistent. However, some say that the Hering Free Blues doesn't have a professional feel. It's so lightweight that it has been compared to playing a child's toy. A few people also claim that you really have to blow into it hard to make it produce a loud enough sound. Even so, it is a decent quality harp for a beginner to medium-level player.

Pros

  • Consistent tone

Cons

  • Experts say that it feels like playing a toy because of its light weight
