When I turned 50, I decided there were two things I wanted to do with

1. To use as a vehicle for increasing the popularity of harmonica worldwide.
2. To turn you on to all the “baddest” harmonica players and teachers out there.

Enter Brendan Power!!! If you haven’t already heard of Brendan, get ready.

In the video above, Brendan shows you how you can use looping and multi-effects technology to be your own one-man band (and – as he points out in the video – looping is an awesome way you can have fun jamming with yourself in order to improve your soloing techniques). You’ll find the full list of his gear recommendations below.

Brendan is Da Man!

→ Brendan Power has played on practically a gazillion records, movie soundtracks and TV shows.
→ As the creator of new harmonica tunings and technologies, he has changed and embellished the harmonica world as we know it.
→ SPAH named him the International Harmonica Player of the Year in 2011/2012.

Nuff said! If you want to learn more about Mr Powers, get one of his records, or find him at a live music performance please visit his website at

That is just what I needed to know and hear. Need to step outside the box of normal harmonica.
