William Clarke (born in California, March 21, 1951 – November 3, 1996) was one of the best diatonic harp players around; unfortunately. he was not around that long. His Chicago blues style was colored with soul, jazz, and swing. He was an accessible musician and personal stories abound, but he released only seven albums before he died. Video footage is rare, but here’s one smooth example of “why the hype” about William Clarke.
